THE MICRODERMABRASION PROCEDURE
Microdermabrasion
is an effective skin rejuvenation procedure that requires no
downtime, allowing clients to resume normal activities immediately
after the procedure. The procedure has been extremely popular
because it is painless, predictable and a true lunch-hour treatment
with minimal erythema (redness), edema (swelling) or irritation.
Microdermabrasion also provides for regeneration and healing
of the skin prior to the next treatment. The microdermabrasion
procedure is optimally performed over a period of several weeks,
with a maintenance treatment scheduled every 1-2 months apart
thereafter. Treatments range from 5-6 treatments scheduled 7-10
days apart for normal skin, to 12 or more treatments for various
other skin pathologies.
The procedure has proven to be clinically effective to treat
or diminish:
Dry or Patchy Skin
Oily Skin

Acne Prone Skin and Acne Scars

HOW IT WORKS
Microdermabrasion
Skin Resurfacing:
Vacuum creates a bubble of skin that is lifted into the crystal
flow inside the handpiece. Medical-grade aluminum oxide crystals
are vacuumed across the skin's surface at the perfect angle
(45 degrees) and remove the outermost layer of skin by exfoliation,
exposing living skin cells that are soft, smooth and receptive
to nutrients.

The underlying epidermis is also stimulated by the abrasion
and vacuum. This promotes generation of new collagen which thickens
the dermis and improves resistance to the effects of aging.
